In December 2011, the Western Australian Government appointed the State's first Small Business Commissioner, as head of the Small Business Development Corporation.
The Commissioner plays a pivotal role in overseeing the new Alternative Dispute Resolution service, receiving and investigating complaints about unfair market practices affecting small business, and providing assistance in resolving those complaints.
